| What we did: | We decided that a day trip
into Yosemite was today's adventure! This was a unexpected treat because we hadn't planned on
Yosemite this trip. Many people had asked me if we were going to hit Yosemite on the roadtrip Tim and I packed up the dogs into the Durango and away we went. The 2 1/2 hour drive gave Tim and I the chance to solve all of the world's problems. So now if the rest of the world would only listen! It was a grand opportunity to discuss any and all subjects...just like the old days. Thanks, Tim, I do miss that!!! Made it to Yosemite...and the views were spectacular. Everybody MUST go to the park. The cliffs, waterfalls and valley were awesome. You get a flavor of the beauty from the pictures, but pictures just don't do the views justice. Tim, my gracious host, did the tourist trip like he's done countless times. But an experienced and patient guide is what we needed. Got a few pictures with Tinker and Petey as you can see below. As usual, Tinker and Petey generated alot of interest from the other tourists...and we had to stop a number of times to let kids visit with the dogs...and some took pictures. The dogs travelled well and were great about being posed for the pictures. I can't really say more about Yosemite, because it is a place you must experience. The trip back was uneventful other than the fact that Tim and I solved more of the world's problems on the way back. Tim's kids Mitchell and Marie were waiting for the dogs to get home before they went to bed. Mitchell wanted to read Tinker and Petey a bedtime story. Mitchell is only 5, and he did a great job reading about P.J. Funnybunny's Camping Trip. Next, Tim and Robin helped plan out the next day's adventure...which could be really exciting or not. But that is for tomorrow, not today! Did some work on the website...then crashed for an early A.M. |
